The scholarship season is now open for children of officers, enlisted, active duty reserve, or retired U.S. Coast Guard men and women. Applications can be submitted through March 15 with awards ranging from $1,000 to $5,000.

The U.S. Department of State’s Gilman-McCain Scholarship provides awards of $5,000 for undergraduate child dependents of active duty service members to study or intern abroad on credit-bearing programs.

Resource: funding for programs, training, degrees; CNA and Nursing students at Kodiak College for example.
The State of Alaska Dept. of Labor and Workforce Development (DOLWD) receives federal funding yearly from the Workforce Innovation and Opportunities Act. To be eligible, UA programs must be on the DOLWD’s Eligible Training Provider List (ETPL) with currently 366 UA programs available.

Life Builders Young Adult Program (accommodation)
Life Builders is a transitional housing program for young adults (aged 18 to 24). The program is designed to help support participants as they acquire the life skills necessary to transition to independent living and build a successful and self-sufficient future.
